| Gotta love the people at work.
Him: "I need <software> installed on my computer"
Me: What version/date do you need?
Him: I just need to have it installed
Me: We have limited licensing, so you need to give me an exact date/version for the specific file you are opening or if you're working on a new file, I'll install the newest version/date.
Him: Well the client needs to get the file (I start to tune this sucka out)......
Me: You don't need this software to send this specific file to the client. It doesn't matter if you can or cannot read it. It doesn't affect how the client reads or doesn't read it. As long as the client has the software he can read it. Only reason you need it install is if you're making changes to the file then sending it to the client.
Him: I'm not opening it or changing the file, I just need it installed, so when I send the file, the client can see it blah blah blah (This guy just won't fucking listen to me and doesn't get the idea that he doesn't need the fucking program installed).
Me: (I gave in) Ok, ok I'll install the software for you.
Idiots at work think they know more than the people who deal with the computers and software. Complete morons.
